Galliano Bondage Collection - The most controversial Dior show.

John Galliano's controversy.

The Bondage collection was designed by a legendary John Galliano for Dior F/W, circa 2003. He made history as the first British designer to debut a collection at a French fashion house since World War II. His designs were often controversial, including the BDSM-inspired show.

In 2000 John Galliano designed his first BDSM-inspired collection “Masquerade and Bondage” for Fall Haute Couture show that began with a voice saying "understand the concept of love". The catwalk was graced by eccentric characters wearing leather corsets and wielding whips, gentle bride, and even... a pope.

For 2003 Fall Ready-to-Wear collection Galliano once again combined high fashion with sexuality and fetishism, presenting leather pants, latex dresses and BDSM-inspired footwear.

Pieces from that collection are now very rare and desirable by vintage lovers and fashion collectors worldwide.
