Iconic maxi dress by Jean Paul Gaultier Jeans, from the famous "Cyberbaba" collection, presented during the Spring/Summer 1996 runway. This body-hugging piece features black and red patterns inspired by tribal Maori tattoos that are essential to JPG signature style. Very soft and stretchy fabric makes it exceptionally flattering. Absolutely iconic dress and a gem for vintage lovers.
WHY THE ICON?
Tribal influences have been an important part of JPG collections since the 90s. The most important examples are 1994 show inspired by Aztec culture and "Cyberbaba" from 1996 inspired by tribal Maori tattoos. In "Cyberbaba" Jean Paul Gaultier also explored his fascination with full body tattoos. Pieces from this collection were worn by icons like Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich and Cher.

CONDITION:
